Cable Application

These cables are designed for electricity supply in low voltage installation systems. Suitable for installation in indoor and outdoor environments, cable ducts, underground applications, power and switching stations, local energy distributions, and industrial plants where there is no risk of mechanical damage.

Cable Construction

Conductor: Plain annealed copper, Class 1: solid conductor, or Class 2: stranded conductor
Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)
Filler: Non-hygroscopic material
Binder tape: Non-hygroscopic material
Outer sheath: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

Cable Installation

XTMU cables may be installed in wet or dry locations at maximum operating temperature of 90°C on the conductor for normal operation; 130°C for emergency and 250°C for short circuit conditions. Cables may be installed indoor and outdoor, exposed to sunlight, in raceway, conduit, duct or aerially supported by a messenger and directly buried according to NEC 250-51.
