A trigger sprayer is an assembly of several precision parts that work together:
Actuator / Nozzle: The part you press with your finger. It contains the final orifice that the liquid passes through, defining the spray pattern (mist, stream, jet, foam). It often twists to lock or change the spray pattern.
Trigger: The lever you squeeze. It's connected to the piston and provides the mechanical force.
Piston & Cylinder Chamber: The core pumping mechanism. The piston moves within the cylinder to create pressure and vacuum.
Dip Tube: The long tube that goes to the bottom of the bottle to draw up the liquid. It's often cut to size during assembly.
Closure / Cap: The threaded part that screws onto the bottle. Common sizes are 28-410, 24-410, etc. (The first number is the diameter in mm; the second is the thread style).
Internal Valves: Typically a ball (glass or plastic) and spring that act as one-way check valves to ensure liquid flows in the correct direction during the pumping cycle.
Gaskets / Seals: Rubber or plastic washers that create a tight seal between the closure and the bottle neck, preventing leaks.
