1. Tungsten Iridium Alloy Funnel Type Description:
What is a tungsten-iridium alloy orifice?
A tungsten funnel-shaped device is used to quantitatively discharge the slurry of refractory ceramic fibers. This tungsten device in the form of a funnel was created using a unique method and an iridium tube, also known as a tungsten-iridium flow port. The tungsten-iridium orifice is made of an alloy of tungsten and iridium. The wear resistance, hardness, strength, and heat resistance of the alloy have been further improved to better ensure product consistency. It is because of these characteristics that the tungsten-iridium flow port has become an indispensable equipment component in today's high-tech crystal glass industry.
2. Features Of Funnel Type Tungsten Iridium Alloy Orifice:
Tungsten-iridium alloy orifice are generally custom-made according to customer drawings.
Tungsten has a large specific gravity, high hardness, good thermal and electrical conductivity, heat resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, low expansion and dimensional stability at high temperatures. Tungsten has the highest melting point (up to 3380°C), the lowest vapor pressure, and the highest tensile strength (at 1650°C) of all metals, and its corrosion resistance is very good, with little attack from most inorganic acids.
Iridium has high melting point and chemical stability, high temperature corrosion resistance, and is widely used in utensils in chemical analysis and iridium tubes in tungsten-iridium flow ports for drawing refractory fibers. Because the ratio of iridium's compression modulus to shear modulus is small, the deformation resistance is large, the hardening rate is high, and the processing is difficult, so the production of iridium materials at home and abroad adopts the process of hot rolling with a layer of nickel coated with a blank iridium plate or iridium rod.
The wear resistance, hardness, strength and heat resistance of alloys made of tungsten and iridium have been further improved, thereby better ensuring product consistency. It is these valuable properties that make it an indispensable equipment element in today's high-tech crystal glass industry.
3. Application Of Funnel Type Tungsten Iridium Alloy Orifice:
The tungsten-iridium orifice is mainly used for rare earth metal smelting, induction furnace heating element, quartz glass smelting, etc., as a high-temperature container. In the glass and ceramic industry, the tungsten orifice is a very critical element in the micro-production of ceramics.
