In data center interconnect scenarios, the 4/8 Channel CCWDM MUX/DEMUX multiplexes multiple wavelength channels onto a single fiber, increasing transmission capacity by 4-8 times and alleviating fiber resource constraints. For example, an 8-channel model can simultaneously transmit eight 10Gbps signals, achieving a total bandwidth of 80Gbps—ideal for high-speed data exchange between server clusters. Its passive design eliminates optical-electrical conversion losses, making it particularly suitable for short-distance (≤40km) high-density connections.
By integrating TFF filters and free-space optical paths, this module consumes less than 1/10th the power of traditional DWDM systems. For instance, an 8-channel model consumes only 0.5W per unit, compared to over 5W for equivalent DWDM equipment with laser cooling. In fully racked scenarios, space utilization improves by 50%, directly reducing data center cooling and power costs.

The CCWDM Mux adopts Free-Space technology, which uses light propagating in free space to wirelessly transmit data. Inside the device, adjacent signal channels are cascaded by parallel beam instead of the fiber. This saves a lot of space for package box, and the unique workmanship also helps CCWDM Mux Demux with low insertion loss.
The insertion loss of CCWDM Mux is about half of the conventional CWDM Mux. This reduces the overall loss of the whole link, and leaves more choices for the design of the solution.
CCWDM Mux uses the parallel beam for cascading instead of the fiber, which saves significant space. The minimum dimension of CCWDM aluminum box module is less than the 1/4 size of minimum CWDM ABS pigtailed module.
