Description
The NetEngine 8000E X8 is Huawei's high-end box-type backbone/metro/data center core router. Belonging to the NE8000E next-generation high-density box-type routing platform, it features an 8-slot chassis and is designed for carrier metro cores, government and enterprise backbones, large IDC egress, cloud interconnection, 5G transport, and financial backbone scenarios. It balances high-capacity forwarding, high-density 100G/400G interfaces, integrated security, and the next-generation SRv6/segment routing transport protocol.
Positioned between the compact NE8000E X4 and the large chassis-type NE8000E X16, it balances port density, rack space, and forwarding performance. As a 2U rack-mount box-type device, it eliminates the need for large server room chassis, offering flexible deployment.
