Product Description:

The Scott transformer is a unique type of transformer designed to enable the bidirectional conversion between three-phase and two-phase electrical power systems. This transformer plays a crucial role in applications where compatibility between these two different phase systems is required.

At the heart of its operation is the distinctive "Scott-T" connection, which involves two single-phase transformers. This configuration allows the transformer to convert a three-phase input into a two-phase output that features a 90-degree phase difference between the two output phases. One important advantage of this setup is that it maintains a balanced load on the three-phase primary side.

Moreover, the Scott transformer is not limited to converting three-phase to two-phase power; it can also perform the reverse process. This means it effectively converts two-phase electrical energy back into three-phase, facilitating flexible power system integrations and enhancing compatibility across different electrical networks.

 

Features:

The conversion function enables a bidirectional transformation between three-phase and two-phase systems, delivering an output with a 90° phase difference between the two phases. This feature makes it ideal for applications requiring two-phase loads.

When the load is balanced, the three-phase currents on the primary side remain fully symmetrical. This balance substantially minimizes the power grid’s imbalance, thereby eliminating the necessity for extra balancing components such as capacitors or reactors.

Regarding capacity and efficiency, the secondary side with dual windings matches the capacity of two single-phase transformers of the same specifications. This design achieves a high conversion efficiency, typically equal to or exceeding 97%.

However, uneven or asymmetrical loads can cause an imbalance in the primary side's three-phase currents. Therefore, this setup is more suitable for operating conditions where the two-phase loads are evenly distributed.

The model is highly customizable, allowing it to meet various specific requirements. Its capacity ranges from 0.5 KVA up to 1600 KVA, making it suitable for a wide array of applications.

This transformer features an open-type moisture-proof design, ensuring protection against humidity while maintaining optimal performance. It utilizes natural cooling methods to efficiently dissipate heat without the need for additional cooling mechanisms.

The winding configuration consists of a double winding form, which contributes to its reliable operation. With a work efficiency of 95%, this model provides excellent energy utilization and performance.

Designed to operate effectively at low frequencies, it is well-suited for numerous industrial environments. Its versatility allows for widespread use in various sectors including machinery, transportation, railways, production lines, construction equipment, elevators, and lighting systems where voltage transformation is essential.

A traditional method for railway power supply involves delivering electricity to the contact networks located on both sides of the track sections.
