Monel 400 Forged Flange – Engineered Strength for Harsh Environments
The Monel 400 forged flange is a precision-engineered nickel–copper alloy component designed to deliver superior corrosion resistance, mechanical reliability, and service durability under extreme operating conditions.
Each flange is hot-forged from premium-grade Monel 400 billets, machined to tight tolerances, and inspected to meet international standards such as ASTM B564 and ASME SB564.
Engineers prefer Monel 400 due to its stability in seawater, acid, and alkali solutions, as well as its excellent thermal and mechanical performance across a wide temperature range.
Monel 400 is a solid-solution nickel-copper alloy that combines strength, ductility, and outstanding corrosion resistance.
Unlike many stainless steels, it remains unaffected by seawater flow, salt spray, and alkaline environments, making it the alloy of choice for offshore, marine, and chemical systems.
Billet Heating:
Monel 400 billets are uniformly heated to 900–1150°C for optimum plasticity.
Hot Forging:
Forged using hydraulic presses to refine grain flow and eliminate internal porosity.
Heat Treatment:
Annealed at 870°C to achieve homogeneous microstructure and stress relief.
CNC Machining:
Flange faces, sealing grooves, and bolt holes are machined with micron-level precision.
Inspection & Testing:
100% ultrasonic, dimensional, and surface inspections ensure reliability in service.
