Inconel 625 Forged Ring: The Superalloy for Extreme Industrial
ASTM B564 / UNS N06625 forged rings are the culmination of materials science and manufacturing processes. Their composite properties of "corrosion resistance + toughness + high temperature stability" make them a "core backbone" in high-end fields such as aerospace, energy and chemical engineering, and marine engineering.
Nickel (Ni ≥58%): Serves as the base element, endowing the material with excellent ductility, corrosion resistance, and wide-temperature stability (maintaining performance from -196℃ cryogenic conditions to 1000℃ high temperatures).
Chromium (Cr 20-23%): Forms a dense oxide film, significantly enhancing oxidation and pitting resistance—especially outstanding in high-temperature oxidative environments such as aero-engine combustion chambers.
Molybdenum (Mo 8-10%): Strengthens resistance to reducing acids (e.g., sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid) and chloride-induced stress corrosion, acting as a "corrosion protection weapon" for marine engineering and chemical equipment.
Niobium (Nb 3.15-4.15%): Forms stable carbides with carbon, refining grain structure and improving creep strength (resistance to deformation under long-term high-temperature loads), ensuring long-term reliability in gas turbines and nuclear power components.
Hot forging + ring rolling technology: Alloy ingots are heated to 1150-1200℃ and shaped by presses or ring rolling equipment, aligning grains along the stress direction to drastically improve strength and toughness (fatigue life can be increased by over 30% compared to cast or ordinary rolled parts).
Solution heat treatment: Undergoes solution annealing at 980-1038℃ followed by water quenching, ensuring uniform solid solution of alloying elements and maximizing the synergy between corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
Full coverage of non-destructive testing (NDT): During production, ultrasonic testing (UT), liquid penetrant testing (LPT), and other methods are required to ensure no internal cracks, pores, or other defects, meeting the strict "zero-defect" requirements of ASTM B564.
Corrosion resistance: Fully resistant to corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, seawater, and high-temperature oxidation, enabling maintenance-free service life of over 20 years in chemical reactors and subsea pipelines.
Mechanical properties: Tensile strength ≥760MPa, yield strength ≥345MPa, elongation ≥30%, combining high strength and high plasticity to withstand impact loads (e.g., aero-engine rotor components).
High-temperature stability: Maintains excellent creep strength and oxidation resistance below 980℃, making it the preferred material for hot-end components of gas turbines (e.g., combustion chamber liners).
Processing adaptability: Possesses good weldability and machinability, and can be integrated into complex systems through welding, forging, machining, etc., reducing the process difficulty of downstream applications.
