Monel 400 is a solid-solution alloy composed primarily of nickel and copper, making it highly resistant to a wide range of corrosive environments. It maintains outstanding strength, ductility, and stability under both cryogenic and elevated temperatures.

Room Temperature Strength: Tensile strength approximately 30% higher than 304 stainless steel
Low-Temperature Toughness: Impact energy >75 J at -196°C, no brittle fracture risk; suitable for LNG storage and transportation equipment
High-Temperature Performance: Maximum continuous service temperature approximately 600°C in air; corrosion rate <0.026 mm/a in high-temperature steam
