ASTM B865 UNS N05500 Forging Bar | Monel K500 Nickel Copper Alloy Bar
ASTM B865 UNS N05500 (Monel K500) forging bar is a precipitation-hardened nickel-copper alloy product manufactured in strict accordance with ASTM B865 standard. Combining excellent mechanical strength, outstanding corrosion resistance and good anti-galling performance, this forged bar is widely applied in harsh working environments such as offshore oil & gas, marine engineering, chemical processing and industrial machinery.
Material Properties
Monel K500 retains the superior corrosion resistance of traditional Monel 400, and gains higher tensile strength and hardness through precipitation hardening treatment.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to seawater, brine, acids, alkalis and hydrogen sulfide (sour gas), ideal for marine and oilfield service.
High Mechanical Performance: High strength and hardness after heat treatment, good fatigue resistance and wear resistance.Anti-Galling & Non-Magnetic: Low tendency to gall under friction, non-magnetic at room temperature.
Temperature Adaptability: Reliable performance across a wide temperature range, suitable for both low and moderate high-temperature working conditions.
