INCOLOY A-286 Heat Resistance Fastners Steam Turbine Parts Aerospace Application
INCOLOY A-286 is a superalloy widely recognized for its high strength and excellent fabrication characteristics, especially significant for producing fasteners used in high-temperature applications. This iron-based alloy, primarily consisting of iron, nickel, and chromium, is augmented with titanium and molybdenum to enhance its properties.
Properties:
High-Temperature Performance: Capable of operating in temperatures up to 700°C (1300°F), making it suited for turbine and engine parts where high thermal stability is required.
Excellent Creep Resistance: Retains mechanical strength under prolonged exposure to high stresses at elevated temperatures.
Good Tensile Strength: Provides high yield strength and ultimate tensile strength, essential for fasteners that must maintain tight clamping forces under thermal cycling.
Oxidation and Corrosion Resistance: Protects against environmental degradation in high-temperature conditions.
