High Manganese Steel Alloy Steel Ball Mill Liner Plate

Our high-performance ball mill liner plates are manufactured from premium alloy steels with hardness ranging from HRC50-65. These mill shell liners are ISO9001 certified and designed for exceptional durability in demanding industrial applications.

Product Specifications

Metal Linings for Ball Mills

Metal linings provide high strength and excellent wear resistance, making them ideal for ball mills processing hard materials such as ore and metal slag. They represent the most widely used lining type in industrial applications.

1. High Manganese Steel Lining

Composition: 10%-14% manganese content, 1.0%-1.4% carbon content, austenitic steel
Features: Excellent toughness with work hardening capability under impact (surface hardness increases from HB200 to HB500+) while maintaining core toughness
Applications: Ideal for coarse and medium grinding stages, ball mills processing hard rocks like granite and iron ore
Limitations: Less effective in low-impact environments, higher cost, and challenging welding characteristics

2. High Chromium Cast Iron Lining

Composition: 15%-30% chromium, 2.0%-3.5% carbon, white cast iron with Cr7C3 hard phase structure
Features: Extreme hardness (HRC55-65), 3-5 times more wear resistant than high manganese steel, excellent corrosion resistance
Applications: Fine grinding stages, low impact conditions, processing cement clinker and limestone
Limitations: High brittleness with poor impact resistance under high-impact conditions

3. Low Alloy Steel Lining

Composition: Alloy elements including Cr, Mo, Ni, V (total content <5%) with heat treatment
Features: Balanced performance with hardness (HRC35-50) and toughness, adjustable composition, better welding performance
Applications: Medium impact and wear conditions, general ball mills in mineral processing and building materials industries
