High-Temperature Resistant Refractory Ball Mill Liner

Product Overview

Metal linings have high strength and excellent wear resistance, making them ideal for ball mills processing hard materials such as ore and metal slag. These are currently the most widely used type of mill liners in industrial applications.

High Manganese Steel Lining

Composition: 10%-14% manganese, 1.0%-1.4% carbon content (austenitic steel)
Features: Excellent toughness with work hardening capability under impact, surface hardness increases from HB200 to HB500+
Applications: Coarse and medium grinding stages, ball mills processing hard rocks like granite and iron ore
Limitations: Limited wear resistance in low-impact environments, higher cost, poor welding performance

High Chromium Cast Iron Lining

Composition: 15%-30% chromium, 2.0%-3.5% carbon with Cr7C3 hard phase structure
Features: Extreme hardness (HRC55-65), 3-5 times more wear resistant than high manganese steel, excellent corrosion resistance
Applications: Fine grinding stages, low impact conditions, processing cement clinker and limestone
Limitations: High brittleness, poor impact resistance under high-impact conditions

Low Alloy Steel Lining

Composition: Chromium, molybdenum, nickel, vanadium (total content <5%) with heat treatment
Features: Balanced strength and toughness (HRC35-50), customizable composition, better welding performance
Applications: Medium impact and wear conditions, general ball mills in mineral processing and building materials industries
Types: Chromium-molybdenum steel for large linings, nickel-hard cast iron for enhanced hardness
