C276 alloy has been widely used in the chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that come into contact with chloride containing organic compounds. This material is particularly suitable for use in high-temperature, mixed inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosive environments.
Corrosion resistance
C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and tungsten further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the few materials that can withstand the corrosion of moist chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions. This alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions (such as iron chloride and copper chloride).
