Features of stainless steel seamless pipe:

First, the thicker the wall thickness of the product is, the more economical and practical it is. The thinner the wall thickness is, the higher the processing cost will be; Secondly, the process of the product determines its limited performance. Generally, the precision of seamless steel pipe is low: uneven wall thickness, low brightness on the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe, high sizing cost, and pockmarks and black spots on the inner and outer surfaces are not easy to remove; Third, its detection and shaping must be handled offline. Therefore, it shows its advantages in high pressure, high strength and mechanical structure materials.

Duplex stainless steel has about half of ferrite phase and half of austenite phase in its solid solution structure. Generally, the content of small phase should reach 30%. With low C content, Cr content is 18%~28% and Ni content is 3%~10%. Some steels also contain alloy elements such as Mo, Cu, Nb, Ti and N.

Classification of duplex stainless steel:

1. Low alloy type

It indicates the grade (23Cr-4Ni-0.1N). There is no molybdenum in the steel. PREN (pitting resistance equivalent) is 24-25. It can replace AISI304 or 316 for stress corrosion.

2. Alloy

Representative grade (22Cr-5Ni-3Mo-0.15N), PREN (pitting resistance equivalent) is AISI 316L and the corrosion resistance between 6% Mo N austenitic stainless steel is 32-33.

3. High alloy type

It generally contains 25% Cr, molybdenum and nitrogen, copper and tungsten. Standard grade (25Cr-6Ni-3Mo-2Cu-0.2N), PREN (pitting equivalent) is 38-39, and the corrosion resistance of this steel is higher than that of duplex stainless steel with 22% Cr.

4. Super duplex stainless steel

The standard grade (25Cr-7Ni-3.7Mo-0.3N) and PREN (pitting resistance equivalent) are greater than 40, which are suitable for demanding medium conditions and have good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, comparable to super austenitic stainless steel.

The chemical composition and performance of T22 and P22 are similar. T22 is used for the heating surface of the boiler, which is in direct contact with flue gas. P22 is used to connect the pipe T/P22, which is equivalent to the German 10CrMo910. T22 belongs to ASTM SA213 seamless ferrite and austenitic alloy steel pipe (Tube) for boiler, superheater and heat exchanger P22 belongs to ASTM SA335 seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe for high temperature. With the development of science, technology and industry, alloy steel has put forward higher requirements for materials, such as higher strength, resistance to high temperature, high pressure, low temperature, corrosion, wear and other special physical and chemical properties. Carbon steel can no longer fully meet the requirements. The properties of carbon steel mainly have the following shortcomings: (1) Low hardenability Generally, the maximum water quenched diameter of carbon steel is only 10mm-20mm. (2) Low strength and yield ratio, such as that of ordinary carbon steel Q235 σ S is 235MPa, while low alloy structural steel 16Mn σ S is more than 360MPa. 40 steel σ s / σ B is only 0.43, much lower than alloy steel. (3) Poor tempering stability Due to poor tempering stability, carbon steel needs to use lower tempering temperature to ensure higher strength during quenching and tempering, so the toughness of steel is low; In order to ensure good toughness, the strength is low when high tempering temperature is used, so the comprehensive mechanical property level of carbon steel is not high. (4) Carbon steel that cannot meet the requirements of special properties is often poor in oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, wear resistance and special electromagnetic properties, and cannot meet the requirements of special use properties.
