1.Product Introduction


The Energy-Saving Ball Mill for Lithium Ore (Spodumene) is a high-efficiency, energy-saving grinding equipment specifically designed for the pulverization of lithium-bearing minerals such as spodumene. It is extensively utilized in lithium extraction from new energy minerals and grinding operations within mineral processing plants. This equipment is characterized by low energy consumption, high production capacity, and exceptional operational stability.



2.Application


Considering the high hardness of spodumene (Mohs hardness 6.5–7) and its fine dissociation particle size, our specialized energy-saving ball mills are engineered with the following characteristic parameters:

  • Max Feeding Size: ≤25mm

  • Discharge Size: Down to 0.065mm (approx. 200+ mesh)

  • Motor Power: Configurable within the 15–500kW range

  • Ball Load: Approximately 180 tons, supporting both dry and wet grinding modes

  • Discharge Method: Supports dual modes (Overflow and Grate type) to adapt to various mineral processing requirements



3.Working Principle


The Energy-Saving Ball Mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device driven by an external gear transmission. The cylinder is internally loaded with steel balls as grinding media. After materials enter the cylinder through the feeding inlet, they are carried up to a certain height by the liners as the cylinder rotates, then fall to create high-impact and grinding forces. This process achieves the fine or ultra-fine grinding of ores such as spodumene.

Based on the discharge method and operational requirements, it is categorized as follows:

  • By Discharge Method: Available in Overflow Type and Grate Type.

  • By Operational Mode: Available in Dry Grinding and Wet Grinding to meet different process flow requirements.

  • Dual-Mode Grinding: Supports both dry and wet grinding. Discharge fineness can be precisely controlled between 0.02–0.075mm (200–700 mesh), meeting the specific requirements for mineral liberation in flotation processes.

  • Customizable Configuration: Tailored grinding media ratios and Grate/Overflow discharge designs adapt to various processing flows (e.g., grinding after sulfuric acid roasting).
