1.Product Introduction Rotary drum dryer

The dryer features a horizontal inclined rotary drum structure with an inclination angle of 2°–5° and adjustable rotation speeds (3–8 rpm). An integrated multi-section lifting flight system ensures the material forms a uniform "curtain" within the drum, significantly enhancing heat exchange efficiency.Drum dimensions and hot air systems are fully customizable based on initial moisture content, final moisture requirements, and particle size distribution. With hot air temperatures regulated between 300–550°C, the system supports both co-current and counter-current drying modes to adapt to various working conditions.

2.Application Rotary drum dryer

    1.Mining and Metallurgical Industry

      This is the most traditional field for rotary drum dryers, primarily used for processing ore concentrates and tailings.

• Metallic Minerals: Iron ore fines, copper concentrate, nickel ore, gold ore slime, manganese ore.

• Non-Metallic Minerals: Limestone, quartz sand, fluorite, gypsum powder, clay, kaolin.

• Energy Materials: Raw coal, coal slime, coking coal, lignite (brown coal).

      2.Construction Materials Industry

        Mainly used for processing various types of sand, stone, and waste residues to provide dry raw materials for downstream production.

• Aggregates and Sand: Construction sand, river sand, yellow sand, specialized sand for dry-mixed mortar.

• Industrial Waste: Desulfurization gypsum (FGD gypsum), blast furnace slag, steel slag, fly ash.

      3. Chemical and Petrochemical Industry

        Suitable for chemical products that are relatively insensitive to temperature and require large-scale continuous production.

• Fertilizers: Phosphate fertilizer, compound fertilizer, ammonium sulfate, tricalcium phosphate.

• Inorganic Salts: Calcium carbonate, barium sulfate, sodium nitrate.

• Others: Catalyst carriers, resin pellets, activated carbon.

      4. Agriculture, Forestry, and Food Processing

          Commonly used to process biomass energy or bulk agricultural by-products for deep processing or feed production.

• Biomass Energy: Wood chips, sawdust, wood flour, bamboo chips, rice husks.

• Agricultural By-products: Distiller's grains (vinasse), vinegar residue, beet pulp, sugarcane bagasse, cassava dregs.

         Plays a key role in the reduction and recycling of municipal and industrial waste.

• Sludge Treatment: Municipal sludge, industrial sludge, paper mill sludge.

• Waste Management: Crushed municipal solid waste (used for RDF - Refuse Derived Fuel production).

3.Working Principle Rotary drum dryer

The wet material to be dried is delivered to the hopper by a belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then fed into the feed end through the feeding pipe via the feeder in the hopper. The slope of the feeding pipe should be greater than the material’s natural angle of repose to ensure smooth flow of the material into the dryer. The dryer cylinder is a rotating drum slightly inclined from the horizontal. Material is added from the higher end, while the heat carrier enters from the lower end to contact the material in a counter-current flow; in some cases, the heat carrier and material flow together in the same direction. As the drum rotates, the material moves under gravity toward the lower end. During its forward movement inside the drum, the wet material receives heat from the heat carrier either directly or indirectly, allowing it to dry, and is then discharged at the outlet via a belt conveyor or screw conveyor. Lifting flights (lifters) are installed on the inner wall of the drum to lift and drop the material, increasing its contact surface with the airflow, which enhances the drying rate and promotes material movement. The heat carrier is generally hot air, flue gas, or similar. After passing through the dryer, the heat carrier usually requires a cyclone separator to capture any entrained material. To further reduce the dust content in the exhaust gas, it may be passed through a bag filter or wet scrubber before final discharge.
