I. Overview
This product petroleum product kinematic viscosity automatic measuring instrument is according to the national standard“GB265-88 petroleum product kinematic viscosity determination method” design and manufacture of special testing instrument, suitable for measuring the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products. The instrument has timing sample movement time, automatic calculation of kinematic viscosity of the final results. This method is applicable to the determination of kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (i. e. Newtonian liquids) in units of M 2/s and is commonly used in practice as MM 2/s. The kinetic viscosity can be obtained by multiplying the measured kinematic viscosity by the density of the liquid. This method is to measure the time of a volume of liquid flowing through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer (Pinscher, Ubbelohde) under gravity at a constant temperature, the product of the capillary constant of the viscometer and the flow time is the kinematic viscosity of the liquid measured at this temperature. The dynamic viscosity at this temperature is the product of the kinematic viscosity and the density of the liquid at the same temperature.
