This rPET lightweight brushed fabric offers a soft sanded surface texture at a low 150 g/m² weight, making it one of the lightest brushed-finish recycled polyester fabrics available. The PU waterproof coating provides adequate moisture resistance for everyday use. At 0.31 mm thickness, it drapes well and is easy to handle during production, suitable for tote bags, casual pouches, and lightweight backpack applications where a soft matte aesthetic is desired.
Produced from 100% recycled PET yarn. Available in 147 cm width.
FAQ
ZY-013 is 240 g/m² and better suited for structured bags requiring durability. ZY-014 at 150 g/m² is significantly lighter and better suited for soft casual bags, totes, pouches, and applications where weight reduction is a priority.
2. Is this fabric suitable for bag shells or only lining?
At 150 g/m², it functions well as a bag shell for lightweight casual applications. For structured bags or heavy-duty uses, we recommend heavier weight options in our range.
3. What hand feel does this fabric have?
The sanding process produces a soft, smooth matte surface. It is noticeably softer than standard PU-coated Oxford fabric of comparable weight.
