II. Working Principle
Based on the Seebeck effect, hundreds of thermocouples are connected in series to receive the infrared radiation from the target (8–14 μm), and the temperature difference is converted into a voltage output; an internal NTC is used for environmental temperature compensation to achieve non-contact, static/dynamic temperature measurement (different from pyroelectric which only measures dynamic changes).
