PMSX003 is a digital universal particulate matter sensor based on the principle of laser scattering. It can continuously collect and calculate the number of suspended particles of different sizes in a unit volume of air, that is, the particulate matter concentration distribution, and then convert it into mass concentration and output it in the form of a universal digital interface. This sensor can be embedded in various instruments, meters or environmental improvement equipment related to the PMSX003 series digital universal particulate matter concentration sensor suspended in the air, providing them with timely and accurate concentration data.

Working principle
This sensor adopts the principle of laser scattering. That is, when a laser is shone on suspended particles in the air to produce scattering, and the scattered light is collected at a specific Angle at the same time, a curve of the intensity of the scattered light varying with time is obtained. Furthermore, based on the algorithm of MIE theory, the microprocessor obtains the equivalent particle size of the particulate matter and the number of particulate matter with different particle sizes within a unit volume.
