The silicon ceramic (HSC) series is a piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor that offers proportional analog or digital output to provide pressure readings over a wide full-scale pressure span and temperature range. The HSC series is capable of calibrating and compensating for the zero position, sensitivity, temperature coefficient and nonlinearity of sensors by using integrated circuits on the circuit board. Update the calibrated analog output values and digital output values at rates of approximately 1 kHz and 2 kHz respectively.
The HSC series is calibrated within the temperature range of 0°C to 50°C [32°F to 122°F]. The feature of this sensor is that it can operate under a single power supply condition of 3.3Vdc or 5.0Vdc.
These sensors can measure absolute pressure, gauge pressure or differential pressure. The absolute pressure sensor uses vacuum pressure as the internal reference value, and its output value is proportional to the absolute pressure. The gauge pressure type sensor takes atmospheric pressure as a reference and provides an output value proportional to the difference from the atmospheric pressure. The differential pressure sensor can measure pressure between two pressure ports.
TruStability® pressure sensors are designed to be used in conjunction with non-corrosive and non-ionic gases, such as air and other dry gases. The performance of these sensors can be extended to a pressure range above 40 mbar, 4 kPa, and 20 inH2O through a rich array of options.
