Allen Bradley ControlLogix Processor Module 478 Kilobytes I-O Memory 1756-L64
Allen-Bradley 1756-L64 is a ControlLogix standard controller. It has a 16 MB user memory available for data and logic and an I/O memory of 478 kb. An optional CompactFlash memory card can be used as an additional non-volatile memory of this controller. Note that the only memory card compatible with the 1756-L64 is the 128 MB 1764-CF128 model. The 1756-L64 controller can handle a maximum of 250 controller connections. It should be mentioned that the scan time for a project loaded in this controller may be slower compared to other 1756-L6x controllers loaded with the same project. It also has full support for controller redundancy.
ControlLogix 5560 controllers, like the 1756-L64 controller, have three controller tasks available and these are 100 programs/task, 32 tasks, and event tasks: all event triggers. Serial port communications available with this controller are DH-485, DF1 full/half-duplex, DF1 radio modem, ASCII, and Modbus via logic. The 1756-L64 controller also supports various communication options, particularly EtherNet/IP, Data Highway Plus, SynchLink, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Remote I/O, and Third-party process and device networks.
The 1756-L64 controller has a maximum digital I/O of 128,000, which is the same with its maximum total I/O. Its maximum analog I/O is 4000. The only ControlLogix chassis compatible with this controller are 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17. It also has a user-replaceable battery but it should only be replaced with the 1756-BA2 lithium battery and only when needed. It has a vibration of 2 g at 10 to 500 Hz, a non-operating shock of 50 g, and an operating shock of 30 g.
