The ASU Fiber Optic Cable (Aerial Self-Supporting Unit) is engineered for outdoor aerial distribution networks where a lightweight, non-metallic solution is required. As an All-Dielectric cable, the ASU eliminates the need for grounding and is immune to electromagnetic interference, making it the perfect choice for installation alongside power lines on utility poles.
The ASU fiber optic cables are designed for operational efficiency, this cable utilizes high-modulus FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) strength members to support spans typically ranging from 80m to 120m, providing a cost-effective alternative to heavy-duty ADSS cables for urban and rural distribution.
The ASU fiber optic cable is mini size of ADSS cable, it is small size and light weight, can use to replace small capacity of ADSS cable to save more cost.

The ASU fiber optic cable structure is optimized to withstand wind load and ice weight without sagging:
Central Strength Member (FRP): A solid Fiber Reinforced Plastic rod sits at the center, providing high tensile strength while keeping the cable completely non-metallic.
Loose Tube Technology: PBT loose tubes containing the optical fibers (up to 144 cores) are stranded around the central member. These tubes are filled with water-blocking jelly to protect the fibers from moisture.
Rip Cord: Included for easy jacket stripping during termination.
Outer Sheath (PE): A UV-stabilized, High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) jacket protects the cable from harsh sunlight, abrasion, and environmental weathering.
