Replacing the Connector PCBA
Remove the back cover
1. Remove the five 6/32" x 1/2" screws.
2. Remove the two 10/32" x 1/2" screws.
3. Carefully remove the back cover and reserve for later disassembly.
Remove the PCBA connector
1. Remove the six 3/16-inch jack screws securing the SDLC, video, and RS-232 connectors.
2 Remove the two 6/32" × 1/4" screws that secure the SDLC PCBA to the backplane.
3 Replace the replacement PCBA connector in reverse order.
CPU PCBA replacement
1. Remove the battery (if present).
2 Remove the cover
3 Remove the nine screws that secure the CPU PCBA to the chassis.
4. Insert your fingers into the slots on both sides of the edge towards the top of the CPU PCBA (near the top two mounting screws) and tighten. This disconnects the connection between the CPU PCBA and the connector PCBA.
5. Carefully pull the CPU PCBA up until you can see the cables on the bottom of the assembly.
6. Disconnect the three cables and place the CPU PCBA in an anti-static area.
7. Replace the replacement CPU PCBA in reverse order.
