Biocare FM-801 fetal monitor lower case provides structural support and protects the internal components of the Biocare FM-801 fetal monitor.
It is part of the outer casing. The base is made of a one-piece, medical-grade ABS engineering plastic, covering the bottom and lower sides of the device. Internally, it features mounting posts and mounting slots to protect key components such as the motherboard. The exterior features four non-slip feet, a heat dissipation grille, and a cable storage slot.
1. Structural Support
The base supports the weight of internal components and ensures their secure installation.
2. Protective Barrier
Provides a protective barrier for critical internal components, isolating them from external risks.
It absorbs external impacts and protects against drops and bumps. It is also waterproof, sweatproof, and dustproof, preventing liquids or foreign objects from entering the device and damaging the internal circuitry.
3. Heat Dissipation
The side of the lower case features a heat dissipation grille that works in conjunction with the internal fan to dissipate heat, lowering temperatures and preventing component aging or failure caused by high temperatures.
4. User-Friendly Design
Four silicone anti-slip feet are installed on the bottom of the lower case to reduce the risk of device movement during use, stabilize the device's placement, and prevent it from shifting and affecting monitoring.

Q1: After one year of use, a noticeable gap has appeared at the joint between the lower and upper housings of the device, allowing dust to easily enter. What should I do?
A1: This may be due to aging of the sealing strips or loosening of the fixing screws, causing the seal to be compromised. Use specialized tools to separate the upper and lower housings, inspect and replace the sealing strips, clean the dust inside, and finally tighten the screws to check for a tight seal.
Q2: The heat dissipation grille at the bottom of the lower housing is clogged with dust, causing the device to frequently display the "Power Board Overheat" message. How can I clean the grille without damaging the device?
A2: First, turn off the device and disconnect the power cord. Turn the device upside down and gently brush any loose dust from the grille surface with a soft brush. Then, use compressed air to blow from the inside of the lower housing to the outside to thoroughly remove any stubborn dust from the grille pores. After cleaning, let it dry for 10 minutes before re-energizing the device to prevent short circuits.
Q3: During use in the delivery room, the lower housing of the device became contaminated with a woman's blood. How should I disinfect it?
A3: Immediately disconnect the device from the power source and absorb any blood from the surface. Use a cloth soaked in disinfectant to wipe the surface and gaps of the lower case (including the heat sink and cable storage slots). Keep it moist for 10 minutes after wiping to ensure effective disinfection. Wipe it dry with a clean, damp cloth. After disinfection, inspect the lower case for damage. If there is no damage, it can be reconnected to the power source for use. If it is damaged, replace it.
