GE Dash1800 Patient Monitor DC2DC Board AAMBL1 2023160-001 2023698-001 is one of the core circuit boards of the monitor and is a DC-DC power conversion module. The function of this circuit board is to convert the 12V DC output of the original motherboard into multiple low-voltage (5V, 3.3V, ±8V, etc.) DC required by each module inside the monitor.

Through the DC-DC isolation circuit, the ground interference between the motherboard and the sensor is prevented, and the ECG/SpO₂ and other signals are ensured to be pure, which has the function of isolation protection. This power board shares the pressure of current distribution for the main power board and assumes the responsibility of power distribution between modules. Q1: The monitor cannot be turned on after replacing the DC/DC board

A1: Check whether the power input is normal; check whether each interface is connected correctly; check whether there is any fault in the card.

Q2: Is it normal for the DC/DC board to heat up severely?

A2: It is normal for the power board to heat up slightly during operation. If it is abnormally hot, it needs to be stopped for inspection to avoid secondary damage caused by long-term overheating. Abnormal heating may be caused by: poor heat dissipation, short circuit or overload at the output end, damage to board components, etc.

Q3: The monitor displays the "power failure" alarm. How to determine whether it is a DC/DC board problem?

A3: You need to follow the steps below to check one by one

1. Test the battery/adapter: Use the battery or adapter alone to power it and observe whether the alarm persists.

2. Measure the output voltage: Use a multimeter to check whether the voltage of each output end of the DC/DC board (such as +5V, ±12V) is within the nominal value ±5%.

If other power components are normal and the output voltage is abnormal, the DC/DC board may be faulty.
