Is there any special maintenance agent for polycarbonate embossing board?
There are special maintenance agents for polycarbonate embossing board, the following are several common types and their characteristics:
Anti-scratch agent: such as far win plastic industry KG986, 帞 African European GCPM2000 and so on. This kind of maintenance agent can improve the surface hardness of polycarbonate embossing board, effectively prevent scratching and scratches, and is suitable for outdoor doors with high requirements for surface beauty. When used, it is added to the plate in a certain proportion or sprayed on the surface of the plate, which can significantly improve the scratch resistance of the plate.
Antioxidants: For example, Clariant antioxidant Hostanox P-EPQ. Polycarbonate is susceptible to oxidation and aging and discoloration during long-term use, especially in the outdoor environment. Antioxidants can effectively prevent the degradation of polymer melt due to thermal oxidation, ensure the color stability of the sheet and constant melt viscosity, and extend the service life of the sheet. Usually only a small amount (generally 0.10% to 0.15%) can be added to work well.
Antifogging agent: Some antifogging agent is also suitable for polycarbonate embowel board, such as plastic general 90% transparent PC board antifogging agent. In some humid environments, the surface of the polycarbonate embossing board is easy to fog, affecting the sight and beauty. The antifogging agent can prevent the formation of fog droplets by forming a hydrophilic film on the surface of the plate, so that the water vapor is evenly spread on the surface of the plate.

5. How to identify the UV side of the sheet?
A: The UV side is the side protected with the printed masking film. To avoid installing the sheet at the wrong side which will void the warranty, please ensure only to remove the masking film after the sheet has been installed.

6. How do I know that a twin wall polypropylene sheet has UV layer?
A: You can’t see the UV layer with the naked eyes. A laboratory test is required to prove this. Some international labs have this facility. Usually UV side layer will more thicker than the down side.
