Special-designed hammer blades, such as those with welded carbide or special wear-resistant alloys on the working edges, though more costly, significantly enhance wear resistance, suitable for severely abrasive working conditions. Hammer blades with trapezoidal, angular, or pointed corners are excellent for crushing fibrous forage but have relatively lower wear resistance. Low-carbon steel, after solid carburizing and quenching, is simple in process and low in cost, with a hard surface and flexible inner layer, providing certain wear resistance. Special cast iron, with easy access to materials, greatly improves wear resistance after chilling, but strict control of material composition and production processes is required to prevent breakage during use. Additionally, surface hardening treatments, such as surfacing tungsten carbide on working edges, can significantly extend the lifespan of hammer blades. Although the manufacturing cost increases, it offers high cost-effectiveness in terms of long-term use and production benefits.

A reasonable arrangement ensures that materials are evenly and efficiently struck within the crushing chamber, avoiding crushing dead zones. Meanwhile, strict precision control during the processing, especially in tungsten carbide surfacing, is crucial to fully unleash the performance advantages of hammer blades.
