Petrolatum tape has excellent resistance to mineral acids, alkali, salts, and micro-organisms. This wrap is also highly impermeable to water vapor and gases. It is typically used to protect buried or exposed pipes, rods, cable, valves, and metal fittings from corrosion.
The composition of petrolatum tape includes a non-woven fiber fabric coated with a neutral compound. This compound is based on saturated petrolatum and inert siliceous fillers. This composition provides the wrap with excellent protective properties, making it an ideal choice for corrosion protection. Petrolatum tape is easy to apply and can be used in a variety of environments.

The tape is easy to apply and can be wrapped around pipes without any complications. It is recommended to apply vaseline or tape primer on the pipe before wrapping the tape around it. The tape is also compatible with other petrolatum tapes such as Ram Petrolatum Tape and Densyl Petrolatum Tape.
