Rock-Socketed Rotary Piling Rig 400 kN.m Torque 2800 mm Diameter for Bridge Pier Foundation Piles
The RKR-400 rock-socketed rotary piling rig is a heavy-duty foundation drilling machine built for the most demanding large-diameter piles. With a rated output torque of 400 kN.m, a maximum drilling diameter of 2800 mm and a maximum depth of 90 m, it is engineered to socket piles deep into strong rock for bridge piers, port structures, high-rise towers and major infrastructure foundations.
Powered by a 403 kW EU Stage V engine and a high-pressure hydraulic system, the rig combines a 300 kN crowd force with a five-section interlocking kelly bar to transmit maximum torque to the rock drilling tool. When hard rock is encountered, the machine switches to a down-the-hole hammer or rock auger, maintaining fast penetration even in granite and limestone. A reinforced 125 t carrier and heavy-duty undercarriage keep the rig rock-steady during the highest torque operations.

Applications
The rock-socketed piling rig is designed for large, deep and heavily loaded piles. It is used for bridge piers and abutments, port and marine structures, high-rise building foundations, wind turbine bases and other major infrastructure requiring piles socketed into rock.
Its ability to switch between soil tools and rock tools means a single machine can drill through overburden and continue into hard rock without a change of rig, reducing mobilisation and improving programme certainty on complex geological sites.
Packaging & Quality Assurance
Given its size, the rig is shipped by break bulk or on heavy flat racks, with the mast folded and all hydraulic and electrical connections protected. Kelly bars, rock augers, DTH hammers and wearing parts are packed separately in reinforced crates.
A 12-month warranty covers the main structure, power unit and hydraulic system. Full commissioning support, operator training, maintenance manuals and spare parts lists are provided, and our technical team offers remote diagnostics and on-site service for the lifetime of the machine.
