Radiation Cross-Linked PE Heat Shrink Sleeve for Pre-Insulated Pipe Girth Weld Joint
Our high-performance radiation cross-linked PE heat shrink sleeve is a professional pre-insulated pipe girth weld joint protection material, specially developed for sealing and anti-corrosion of district heating pre-insulated pipe joints, chilled water distribution pipeline joints and PU foam insulated steel pipe girth weld connections.
As mainstream field joint coating material for buried pre-insulated pipeline projects widely used in Russia, Central Asia and Middle-East markets, this heat shrink sleeve solves joint water-ingress risks for underground heating networks.
Adopting premium two-layer composite structure: radiation cross-linked polyethylene backing (tensile strength 19.47 MPa, elongation 626%) compounded with high-adhesion imported hot-melt adhesive (peel strength 145.6N/cm to steel). It forms a seamless integrated protective barrier, keeping the same thermal-insulation and anti-corrosion performance as factory-produced pre-insulated pipe sections.
Reliably seals district-heating and chilled-water pre-insulated pipe girth-weld joints against underground water intrusion.
Resists erosion from 10% HCl, NaOH, NaCl and various complex underground corrosive media.
Vicat softening point ≥90°C; brittleness temperature <-65°C. Performs steadily in high-temperature and frigid cold-climate regions.
Dielectric strength ≥25MV/m; volume resistivity ≥1×10¹³Ω*m. Fully compatible with cathodic-protection systems.
Maintains stable physical property under long-term buried district-heating pipeline service.
Fits black & yellow HDPE jacket pre-insulated pipes, PU-foam insulated steel pipes, and all mainstream district-heating pipeline girth-weld joint connection forms.
