Check valves, also known as automatic safety mechanisms, are designed to allow fluids and gases to flow in one direction while preventing reverse flow. These valves seal tightly to prevent leaks and ensure proper flow direction, protecting pumps and compressors from damage. If pressure drops, the disc automatically returns to its seat to stop flow.
