Usually need to produce such elbows according to specific engineering requirements or specific drawings. In addition to meeting the requirements of the pipe diameter, the specific conditions of the pipe must also be considered, such as pipe transportation pressure, fluid viscosity, abrasion, corrosiveness and various fluid factors, such as transportation temperature. Usually, butt joints are welded at the pipeline construction site. This is because the welding standards of various pipelines are different, and on-site welding needs to be carried out according to the welding level of the pipeline. Large diameter butt elbows are classified according to the radius of curvature and can be divided into long butt elbows and short butt elbows. The length of curvature of the long-diameter butt-welded elbow is equal to 1.5 times the pipe size, that is, R=1.5D. The curvature diameter of the short radius butt elbow is equal to the pipe diameter, that is, R=1D. In the formula, D is the diameter of the butt elbow, and R is the radius of curvature. If divided by pressure level, there are about 17 types, which are the same as the American pipeline standards: Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch10, Sch20.
