Kinetic Radiofrequency Plasma Surgery System Kinetic Cutting for BPH
How it Works?
The system transmits the energy to the electric conduction liquid (e.g. normal saline), which is close to or on the surface of target tissues. The electric conduction liquid forms a thin layer between working electrode and circuit electrode. The electric conduction liquid, given with enough energy, can transform to a steam layer (i.e. plasma) containing charged particles with energy. When the high energy charged particles contact target tissues, it will realize tissue disintegration by molecular dissociation. Compared with the conventional electrosurgical system, by this kind of working model, the temperature generated at the target tissues is much lower, thus bringing less collateral damage to the surrounding tissues. While the unit functions will vary if the given voltage between the working electrode and target tissues is lower. In this case, the electric field is lower than the value required for forming plasma, and resistance heat at the tissues is generated. This model is used when stronger heat effect is required, e.g. for coagulation of blood vessel or other vessel tissues. According to the probe type, tissue status and expected treatment effect, to set suitable voltage.
During Surgery
Remove the electrode from surgery position when it’s not using. Put it away from metal object in surgery sight. Separate the probe with other electric surgery devices to avoid electrical coupled. Otherwise, activate mistakenly may cause injury to patients or user, or device damage.
Do not circle the handle line on metal object, it may produce current which may result shock, fire or injury to patients or users.
Be careful when using a probe to probe or toggle tissue. When the tip is in contact with tissue or other equipment, it may cause damage to the equipment.
Liquids are not allowed to contact with any probes, machine, or electric plug on wire.
Maintain the power setting to the lowest possible level for the desired tissue effect.
Do not expose the patient to metal objects on the base, such as a surgical bench or instrument table, to avoid the risk of shock. Do not use cushions.
Do not touch the activated tip with metal objects.
Always observe the fire at any time, and sparks and calories associated with electro-surgery may become a source of fire.
When there are other electrosurgical devices, the electrodes and cables will become a high frequency current path, place the cable, and avoid contact with the patient and other conductive materials.
High frequency electrosurgical devices such as this treatment device may adversely affect other electronic devices.
The electrodes should always be separated from other electrosurgical devices to avoid electrical coupling between devices.
When using high-frequency surgical instruments and physiological detectors simultaneously on the patient, the monitoring electrode should be as far away from the surgical electrode as possible. It is not recommended to use monitoring electrodes.
It is recommended to use a monitor with a high frequency current limiting device.
If the unit displays any other error, it requires service.
