All inks require an adhesive layer between ink and overlay to provide a superior bond, so we offer a complete range of suitable coatings for all our overlay films to enhance bond strength. These adhesives can be used with UV (offset or silk screen) and oxidative inks. They meet or exceed ISO Peel strength standards and are available in rolls or sheets. We have designed specific coatings to prevent distortion during lamination and offer a wider processing window.

Manufacturing Process
The manufacturing process of PVC overlay involves several steps. Firstly, PVC resin is mixed with additives, plasticizers, and stabilizers to achieve the desired properties and flexibility. This mixture is then processed through a calendaring or extrusion process to form thin sheets of PVC overlay. The sheets are then embossed, printed, or laminated with decorative patterns or textures before being cut into the required sizes and shapes.
PVC overlay is a transparent layer that is applied to the surface of a plastic card. It acts as a protective barrier, shielding the underlying card from scratches, fading, and moisture. The strong coated adhesive ensures that the overlay firmly adheres to the card, providing long-lasting protection.
One side features a smooth surface, while the other side is coated with glue. It has better adaptability to various inks, features much longer aging time and higher peel strength. It is quite suitable for laying magnetic stripes on its surface with dry coating surface and ensures better legibility of anti-fake marks on card surface. The product is environmentally friendly without abnormal smells.
