Aluminium Lidding Foil Material Laminated Aluminium Foil Peel Off Sealing Lid
This laminated aluminium lidding foil is made for one job: creating a secure, easy-to-peel seal for containers—think plastic cups (yogurt, pudding), glass jars (honey, jam), or metal cans (nuts, pet food). Unlike single-layer aluminium foil (which tears easily or leaks), our version is a 3-layer laminate (PET/AL/PE) that balances seal strength (no leaks during shipping) and peelability (customers don’t struggle to open it).
We’ve supplied this to 120+ clients since 2017—from a local yogurt factory in Michigan to a multinational pet food brand in Germany. Every detail is built around real pain points: we fixed a dairy client’s “hard-to-peel” issue by adjusting the PE layer thickness; we added a UV-resistant PET layer for a snack brand that ships to hot climates. This isn’t just “aluminium foil”—it’s a sealing solution tailored to your container and product.
We don’t list random numbers—every spec is tested with actual containers (your containers, if you send samples) and tied to how you’ll use the lid.
We don’t just “make foil”—we solve your sealing problems. Here’s how our process and strengths stand out from generic suppliers:
- Raw Material Selection: We only use 8011-O 态 aluminium foil (from China Aluminium/Novelis) – this grade has better ductility (won’t crack during lamination) and purity (no heavy metals). Every batch of foil comes with a mill test report (MTR) – we share this with you, no “secret” sources.
- Lamination Technology: We use 5-roll precision laminators (not 3-roll cheap ones) – this ensures the PET/AL/PE layers bond evenly. Our technician adjusts the glue ratio (EVA-based food-safe glue) by hand for each order: for example, if you’re sealing glass jars, we add 5% more glue to improve adhesion to glass.
- Peelability Tuning: This is where we really stand out. Clients often say, “Other foils either won’t peel or peel too easily.” We fix this by adjusting the PE layer thickness:
- Thin PE (30μm): For plastic cups (easy peel, no residue).
- Thick PE (50μm): For glass jars (stronger seal, still peelable).
We test 20 samples with your actual container before bulk production– if it’s too hard to peel, we sand the PE layer slightly (by 2μm) until it’s perfect.
- Customization Speed: Most suppliers take 2 weeks for custom widths/sizes – we do it in 5 days. A snack client in California needed 150mm diameter sheets for their new nut jar; we sent samples in 3 days, bulk production in 7.
- Small-Batch Flexibility: We don’t force you to order 10,000 rolls. Minimum order is 50 rolls (500m/roll) for standard sizes, 100 rolls for custom – perfect for startups or small-batch producers.
- On-Site Problem-Solving: Last year, a dairy client in Wisconsin had issues with their sealing machine (foil wasn’t sticking). We sent a technician to their factory within 48 hours – turns out their machine temperature was 5°C too low. We adjusted their machine settings and left 100 test foils – problem solved in a day.
- Traceability: Every roll has a batch code (e.g., AL240612-08) linked to:
- Raw material MTRs.
- Lamination temperature/pressure logs.
- Seal strength test results.
If you ever have a question about a roll, we can pull its full history in 10 minutes.
Automation helps speed, but the best seals need human attention. Here’s how we make every roll—no hidden steps:
- Aluminium Foil Inspection: A worker unrolls 1m of foil from each batch and checks for pinholes (hold it up to light—no pinholes allowed) and flatness (if it’s wavy, it won’t laminate evenly). We reject 1 out of 20 batches for pinholes – no exceptions.
- PET/PE Film Drying: PET and PE absorb moisture, which causes bubbles during lamination. We dry them in a 60°C oven for 4 hours (worker checks moisture levels with a handheld meter—must be ≤0.02%).
- Glue Mixing: Our technician mixes EVA glue with a hardener (ratio 100:3) by hand – machine mixing often has lumps, which cause uneven bonding. They test the glue’s viscosity (must be 2500-3000 cP) before use.
- Layer Alignment: A worker feeds PET, aluminium foil, and PE into the 5-roll laminator – they use a laser guide to line up the layers (±0.1mm accuracy). If layers are off, the seal will be weak on one side.
- Temperature Control: The laminator runs at 85-95°C (depends on PE thickness). A technician checks the temperature every 15 minutes with a contact thermometer – if it’s 2°C too high, the PE melts; too low, layers don’t bond.
- Pressure Adjustment: We apply 30-40MPa pressure (again, custom to your order). For example, glass jar clients need higher pressure (40MPa) to bond PE to glass – a worker adjusts the pressure valve by hand for each roll.
- Slow Cooling: The laminated foil goes through a water-cooled roller (15°C) – we cool it slowly (10m/min) to prevent layer separation (fast cooling makes the foil brittle).
- Slitting to Size: For roll orders, a worker sets the slitter to your width (e.g., 300mm) and runs a 10m test – they check the edge with a ruler (±0.3mm accuracy). If edges are ragged, they change the slitting blade (no “good enough” ragged edges that tear during use).
- Cut-to-Size Sheets: For sheet orders, we use a die-cutting machine – a worker places a sample sheet on your container to confirm size (e.g., 80mm diameter for yogurt cups) before running the full batch. They check 10 sheets per 1000 for size and burrs.
- Seal Strength Test: A technician takes 5 samples from each roll, seals them to your container (using a standard sealing machine), and pulls them with a force gauge – must be 8-12N/15mm. If one sample fails, we test 10 more; if 2 fail, the whole roll is rejected.
- Peel Test: A worker peels 10 samples by hand (mimicking a customer) – they check for:
- Does it peel in one piece?
- Is there residue on the container?
- Is it easy for a senior to peel?
- Compliance Check: Every month, we send 1 sample from each batch to SGS for FDA/LFGB testing – we share the report with you (no “trust us” – we show proof).
- Roll Packaging: Each roll is wrapped in a moisture-proof PE bag (with a desiccant pack) and placed in a cardboard tube (thick enough to prevent bending during shipping).
- Sheet Packaging: Sheets are stacked between parchment paper (prevents sticking) and packed in a corrugated box (with foam inserts to avoid crushing).
- Labeling: Every package has your company name, batch code, and a “Storage Note” (keep at 15-25°C, 30-60% humidity) – handwritten by our packer (no printed labels that peel off).
We know sealing issues cost you money—our policy is to fix problems fast, no excuses.
- Warranty Period: 18 months from delivery – covers:
- Seal failure (foil comes off during shipping).
- Layer separation (PET/AL/PE peel apart).
- Pinholes (cause leaks).
- Claim Process:
- You send 2-3 defective samples + photos of the issue (no need to send the whole roll).
- We confirm the issue within 24 hours (we test your samples in our lab).
- We send replacements within 7 days (free shipping, even international).
- Example: A pet food client in Germany had 2 rolls with pinholes – we sent replacements in 5 days and covered their shipping cost ($200).
- Sealing Machine Guidance: If you’re having trouble with your sealing machine (e.g., foil won’t stick), we:
- Send a “Sealing Parameter Guide” (custom to your foil and container) – includes temperature (180-220°C), pressure (0.3-0.5MPa), and time (1-2 seconds).
- Offer a 30-minute video call with our technician to walk you through settings.
- For big clients (orders ≥500 rolls/year), we send a technician to your factory for free (within 500km).
- New Container Testing: If you launch a new container (e.g., a bigger yogurt cup), we send 100 free samples to test – no charge. We help you tweak the foil (e.g., adjust PE thickness) until it seals perfectly.
- Unused Foil: If you order the wrong size (e.g., 300mm rolls instead of 250mm) and the foil is unopened, we accept returns within 30 days. We refund 90% of your cost (to cover our slitting/die-cutting expenses) or exchange for the right size.
- Cancelled Orders: If you need to cancel before production starts, we refund 100% of your deposit. If production has started, we refund 70% (since we’ve already bought materials for your order).
“Before working with them, we used a single-layer aluminium foil – 5% of our yogurt cups leaked during shipping, and customers complained about peeling. We switched to their laminated foil, and leaks dropped to 0.1%. Their technician even came to our factory to adjust our sealing machine – now our line runs faster, too. We’ve been ordering for 3 years, no issues.”
— Mark Taylor, Production Manager
“We needed a foil that would seal our glass nut jars (keeps nuts fresh) but still peel easily. Other suppliers sent foils that either leaked or were impossible to peel. This team sent samples in 3 days, tested them on our jars, and adjusted the PE layer – perfect. Now our customers say, ‘The jar is easy to open, and the nuts taste fresh.’”
