Description:
Depending on contaminants within the PET bottle bales, additional equipment maybe required such as a separation table for manual sorting, metal detectors and removal, PVC heat separation, and more. Trommel -- The trommel separator is excellent for removing small contaminants such as glass, metals, wood, paper/cardboard, and others before the plastic bottles are granulated. On top of its applications in PET recycling, the trommel separator is often found being used in municipal waste separation.
Label Separator -- The label separator, sometimes referred to as the “air classifier” uses air pressure to separate heavier materials from lighter ones. As PET bottles are shredded whole, the material stream from the granulator will include a portion of PP / PE films from on the bottle labels. The label separator does an excellent job of this separating PET flakes from plastic film labels.
High Speed Dewatering Machine -- The first stage in the drying process in our standard PET bottle washing line, the high speed dewatering machine has the unique ability to remove a large portion of water content within the PET flakes directly after the washing process. To accomplish this, centrifugal force is used to spin water outwards while the PET flakes are contained within.
