The GE DS200SDCCG5A is a Digital Exciter Drive Control Card (SDCC) for GE’s EX2000 Series, serving as the main processor board in excitation control systems. It houses three 16-bit microprocessors (80C186, 80C196, TMS320C25) linked via dual-ported RAM, each handling specialized tasks: system operations, motor control loops, and math-intensive algorithms.
Key hardware includes five memory chips ---four factory-programmed EPROMs, one field-adjustable EEPROM, and configurable jumpers pre-set at the factory. It supports auxiliary boards like LAN cards and signal processors via dedicated connectors.
Software configuration requires tools like ST2000 or GE Control System Toolbox. As a revised variant of DS200SDCCG5, it enhances excitation system integration, processing, and I/O control for reliable turbine and exciter operation.
