This 100kW radial flux direct drive permanent magnet generator adopts a 64 pole rotor to generate 690V three phase power at only 120rpm, eliminating the gearbox in wind turbine drivetrains. The radial flux topology offers mature manufacturing process, high torque density and reliable mechanical structure.
With 96% efficiency and air cooled IC411 design, this permanent magnetic generator is widely used in mid-size wind turbines and low head hydro projects. All windings are vacuum impregnated with class H insulation for long term outdoor service.
