Energy absorption remains consistent at inclined compression angles up to 15 degrees.
Compressive elasticity of air provides completely uniform surface pressure on contact. Surface pressure equals internal air pressure. Particularly popular at LNG-ship terminals due to low and uniform surface pressure properties.
Reaction force does not increase sharply, even under excess load conditions, effectively protecting ships and mooring facilities.
Reaction force and deflection do not easily reach maximum levels because reaction force increases slowly and allowable deflection is wide, ensuring safety in rough weather conditions.
