F423 is a food-grade polyaspartic resin developed by Feiyang Protech. As an advanced polyaspartic resin, it combines food-contact safety, low odor, high solids, excellent durability, and good weather resistance. With high purity and extremely low free fumarate monomer content, F423 is designed for applications where both safety and high performance are required.

What Makes F423 Different

1. Food-contact safety with low odor

Safety is always the first priority in food and drinking water applications. F423 has been tested for FDA food-contact compliance and is suitable for areas that may come into direct or indirect contact with food or drinking water. It can be used for food processing equipment sealing, drinking water tank linings, pipe joints, and other sensitive areas where contamination control is important.

F423 is also solvent-free, with a solid content of ≥99.5%. This means very low VOC emissions during application and use. Its low-odor property makes the working environment more comfortable during installation and helps avoid unpleasant smells in enclosed spaces such as food workshops, water systems, and indoor facilities.

2. High solids, low viscosity, and fast curing

F423 is a high-solids, low-viscosity resin, with a viscosity of 800–2500 mPa·s at 25°C. It offers good flow and easy application, making it suitable for solvent-free or high-solids coating systems. It can be applied by brush, roller, or spray, without the need for special high-temperature or high-pressure equipment.

When used with HDI trimer, F423 can become tack-free in about 15 minutes, helping shorten the application process. Its high solid content also helps reduce curing shrinkage, allowing the coating or sealing layer to build well in a single application. This helps form a dense and reliable protective layer while reducing the risk of leakage and rework.

3. Tough, durable, and suitable for demanding environments

After curing, F423 provides a good balance of hardness and flexibility. The cured film can achieve a hardness of up to 2H, with good wear and impact resistance. It also offers a tensile strength of 25 MPa and an elongation at break of 400%, allowing it to handle slight movement or deformation of the substrate without cracking easily.

F423 provides strong resistance to water, acids, alkalis, solvents, salt spray, and outdoor weathering. It helps protect against chemical corrosion, water penetration, and long-term outdoor exposure. It is suitable for chemical storage tanks, corrosive pipelines, concrete waterproofing, wind turbine blades, steel structures, oil pipelines, and other light- to heavy-duty anti-corrosion applications. F423 also has excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, including ABS, PC, PVC, other plastics, and many metals, making it a practical choice for complex sealing and coating projects.

4. Low color and good weather resistance

F423 is a colorless to pale yellow-green transparent liquid, with a Hazen color value of ≤250. Its light color makes it easy to formulate into coatings where a clean appearance is required.

Its aliphatic structure also gives it good resistance to yellowing and fading under UV exposure. This helps maintain the appearance of the coating over time, reduces the need for frequent maintenance, and extends service life.

• Food and drinking water applications: F423 is suitable for floor joints in food processing workshops, sealing around wall pipe penetrations, drinking water tank linings, water pipe joints, and food-grade conveyor belt joints.
• Industrial anti-corrosion and waterproofing: It can be used for chemical storage tanks, corrosive liquid pipeline joints, steel structure topcoats, oil pipeline anti-corrosion coatings, concrete waterproofing, and protective coatings for foam landscape structures.
• High-performance coating systems: F423 can also be used in high-performance coatings such as automotive coatings, wood coatings, wind turbine blade gel coats, putties, and topcoats. It helps improve film build, gloss, hardness, and overall coating performance.
