The production process is as follows:
Polymerization: Raw materials (purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG)) are combined to create molten PET polymer.
Spinning: The molten polymer is forced through a spinneret (a device like a showerhead) to form continuous filaments.
Drawing: The filaments are stretched (drawn) to align the polymer molecules, which increases their strength and tenacity.
Crimping: The continuous filaments are crimped (given a wavy texture) to add bulk and help the fibers stick together during spinning.
Cutting: The continuous tow (a large bundle of filaments) is cut into short, predetermined lengths—this is what creates the staple fiber.
High Purity and Consistency: Being virgin, it has no contaminants or unknown additives from previous use, resulting in very predictable and uniform quality.
Excellent Whiteness and Dyeability: Its purity allows it to be produced in bright, consistent white grades, which makes it excellent for dyeing vibrant, consistent colors.
Superior Strength: Generally has higher tenacity (strength) and better durability compared to its recycled counterpart.
Hygienic: As it's made from new materials, it's very clean and is ideal for medical, hygiene, and high-end apparel applications.
