Application: CAT-41 catalyst is a strongly basic, colorless-to-straw-yellow colored liquid. The material has a characteristic low amine odor. It is soluble in water and in most organic solvents. Excellent blowing capability, excellent performance in water co-blown rigid systems. Moderately active trimerization catalyst used in a wide variety of rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam and non-foam applications. It is recommended for use as a co-catalyst with other polyurethane and polyisocyanurate catalysts. It reduced trimerization activity, as compared with stronger catalysts like K-15, produces a moderating effect on the overall reaction profile by helping to balance the formation of polyurethane and polyisocyanurate during polymerization.
