Customized Design Finned Oil Cooler for Hydroturbine
The finned oil cooler is a key auxiliary heat-exchange device for hydro-turbine lubrication system and hydraulic governor system. Compared with ordinary shell-and-tube coolers, it adopts finned tube bundles to enlarge heat-exchange area. Hot lubricating oil passes over the outer fin surface while cooling water circulates inside tubes. Heat is rapidly transferred from oil medium to cooling water, effectively controlling oil temperature of thrust bearing, guide bearing and governor hydraulic system.
Over-high oil temperature will accelerate oil deterioration, increase bearing abrasion, cause unstable hydraulic valve action and bring potential hazards to unit safe operation.
We deliver tailor-made finned oil cooler solutions strictly based on customer drawings, heat dissipation requirement, oil-water flow rate, working pressure, installation space and cooling-water medium characteristics.
Main Technical Features
High-efficiency finned-tube core: Compact fin-tube structure greatly expands heat-exchange area. Tube material can be copper alloy, stainless steel upon request, adapting to scaling, silty or corrosive cooling-water conditions.
Optimized flow-channel design: Reasonable baffle layout strengthens fluid turbulence, improves overall heat-transfer coefficient and reduces pressure drop on both oil side and water side.
Convenient maintainability: Removable fin-bundle assembly allows easy access for cleaning dirt, sludge and scale without cutting main pipelines, shortening overhaul cycle.
Reliable anti-leakage performance: Adopts mature tube-to-tube-sheet expansion-welding composite process. Every finished product passes strict hydraulic pressure leak test to prevent oil-water mixing risk.
Flexible customized configuration: Overall dimension, heat capacity, flange standard and pass number can be customized to match on-site layout. Carbon-steel shell with anti-corrosion coating improves service life in humid factory environment.
