Customized Design Multitube Cooler for Hydroturbine
Multi-tube coolers are shell-and-tube heat exchangers that serve as critical auxiliary equipment for hydro-turbine lubrication systems and hydraulic governor systems. Hot lubricating oil flows through the shell side while cooling water circulates inside the tube bundles, transferring heat from oil to cooling water to maintain optimal temperature levels for thrust bearings, guide bearings, and governor hydraulic oil.
Excessively high oil temperatures can degrade oil quality, accelerate bearing wear, cause hydraulic valve malfunctions, and create operational risks for unit stability.
We provide custom-engineered multi-tube cooler solutions based on customer drawings, heat load requirements, oil and cooling water flow rates, working pressures, installation space constraints, and water medium characteristics.
Main Technical Features
Flexible Material Selection: Tube bundles available in copper alloy, stainless steel, or titanium alloy to accommodate cooling water with sediment, scaling, or corrosive ions. Shells feature carbon steel with anti-rust epoxy coating.
High Heat-Exchange Efficiency: Optimized baffle-plate layout enhances fluid turbulence, improves heat transfer coefficients, and reduces heat-exchange area requirements.
Maintainable Structure: Removable tube-bundle design allows core bundles to be extracted for cleaning scale, sludge, and sediment without cutting main pipelines, significantly reducing maintenance time.
Customized Configuration: Matched connection flanges, working pressures, and overall dimensions according to on-site layouts; single-pass or multi-pass flow structures available.
