What is the electric tailgate?

The working principle of the strut:

When the motor is not working, the resistance of the screw rod, the resistance of the motor gear box, the spring force and the gravity of the door form a balance torque to keep the door hovering at any position.

When the motor is working, the motor torque breaks the balance. According to the motor torque direction, the strut performs telescopic movement to drive the door to open and close.

How can we open the electric tailgate?

Front Button: Inside the vehicle, there is typically an interior control panel, often located on the driver's side door or center console. This panel will have a dedicated button or switch specifically for opening and closing the tailgate. Pressing the button or activating the switch will trigger the automatic operation of the tailgate.

Rear Button: Some vehicles have an exterior button or touchpad located near the tailgate itself. Pressing this button will initiate the opening or closing of the tailgate. This is useful when approaching the vehicle from the rear and you want to open the tailgate without entering the vehicle.

Foot Gesture/Sensor: Certain electric tailgates offer hands-free operation using sensor-based systems. These systems detect foot gestures or movements under the rear bumper or designated area.
