Hands-free power tailgate (Power tailgate lift) is a back-door system, the user of the vehible controls the liftgate / tailgate opening and closing by pressing a key located on the dashboard or handheld or remoting the key, or by using any object operation in the corresponding region of the liftgate.

There has features that allow you to open or close the liftgate without your hands or pressing any buttons.
To open your liftgate, submitted to kick you leg forward in back under the sensor of the rear bumper below the license plate. Then stay back to the gate base to open. | 1.With the hands-free liftgate, there's no need to set down your cargo. So simply leave it in your hands. You will, however, need to have your key fob outside the vehicle and within 3' of liftgate, so it's best to have it in your pocket or purse. |

Keep in mind that the liftgate can also be opened using your key fob, through a button on the instrument panel or using the button on the liftgate handle. Plus, the one exception to the guide above is for vehicles with an available trailer tow package, you can swing your foot under the bumper to the left or right of the tow hitch.
