Custom Mold Core Pin is made from the finest grade of SKD-61 hotwork die steel. The heads are hot forged and stress relieved for uniform grain flow and high tensile strength. The surface could be ion nitride coated to a hardness of HV 1000°±100°. The core of vacuumed pin could be hardened to HRC 52°±2°. Of course, you could also select other steels.
Our coating is done in a proprietary process that produces an ideal combination of toughness and long life. The high surface finish reduces friction and increases pin service life. If needed, we could reach the tolerance to 0.005mm.
