In-row air conditioners, also known as cool row air conditioning, are placed between server cabinet columns to provide direct cooling to heat sources. As part of mechanical room air conditioning systems, these units address the increasing heat dissipation from servers and communication equipment in data centers. Traditional forward air conditioning methods often fail to meet modern equipment temperature and humidity requirements. In-row cooling ensures cool air enters equipment directly for effective heat removal and prevents local overheating.
